I have to write a paper for my American Roots Music class, which is about the history, culture and impact of music has had in America such as blues, gospel, jazz, country, rock n roll, tejano, etc. I have to relate music to my major which is Criminal Justice. I know some characteristics of music are its a discipline, its skill based, requires, performance, creative expression, writing, value identification, and etc. Any ideas on how to incorporate those or anything else about music to Criminal Justice? Its a one paged single spaced paper but its kind of difficult coming up with something for majors not related to music whatsoever.

Bethel (Sullivan County) is 43 miles (69 km) southwest of the town of Woodstock, New York, which is in adjoining Ulster County.

The festival exemplified the counterculture of the late 1960s - early 1970s and the “hippie era.” Thirty-two of the best-known musicians of the day appeared during the sometimes rainy weekend. Although attempts have been made over the years to recreate the festival, the original event has proven to be unique and legendary.
